D.N.R. – Department of Natural Resources

We encourage you to view the D.N.R. website at www.dnr.state.mn.us.  It provides a wealth of useful information.  On the home page you will find numerous menu options from which to select.  Resort guests are often interested in the lake information and the fishing sections. 

The lake finder contains data for more than 4,500 lakes and rivers throughout Minnesota.  This includes lake surveys, lake depth maps, lake water levels, lake water quality data, satellite-based water clarity information, and fish consumption advice.  Type in Lake Belle Taine and click on Hubbard County to find information on our lake at Resort Content.  On the same page you can also access information on the D.N.R.’s stocking activity by fish species and/or county. 

You will also find a section on fishing on the main menu on the home page.  Here you can find basic information on how to obtain a fishing license, fishing regulations, when fishing season opens, and information about various species of fish.  The serious angler can learn about the efforts to improve fishing in Minnesota.  Not only is it helpful in deciding where to go to catch fish in Minnesota, but also it contains a lot of fishing related facts. 

Minnesota is proud to be the land of 10,000 lakes.  As everyone in Minnesota knows – fishing is a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors.  Every effort is made to protect our lakes and streams so future generations may experience the same activities.
