For others, it may be the desire to bring home fish for a meal that sparks the incentive to fish for hours. Yet others like getting out on the lake to relax and spend time with friends and family. For them it doesn’t matter what is in the live well or on the stringer at the end of the day. Regardless of the reason, if you like to fish you have come to the right place. Within 25 miles of Park Rapids are more than 400 crystal clear lakes, rivers, and streams. Muskie, walleye, northern pike, lake trout, bass, blue gill and pan fish such as sunfish, crappies, and perch are just waiting for you to bait the hook.
